Hornets Win!!!

Yes we did only split the double header we had this weekend but we did get our first victory, and it was sweet. A hot 34 degrees c which works out to about 93 degrees AMERICAN. I had coached a game at 930, played 1st (unsuccessfully hitting) in a game at 1200 and then was scheduled to pitch at 230. Boiling at this point, with a sore arm from last week, I decided to give it a go, and actually felt better as the game went on. Once we established an early lead, I knew I had to stay in the game. A win is a win when we are only playing 20 games. Anyways, the guys actually made plays and hit the ball very well against the opposing pitcher. I had to bunt for a hit cuz I am still sorting that area out!

Liz and I went on a bush walk today around a lake and saw a cool turtle with a very long neck. We had just seen one at the zoo and commented on its long neck so we were surprised to walk up to one on the trail and watch it shuffle off down the path. We have a picture Ill put up soon. Bikey Ben is planning a huge party for a fundraiser on Dec 20th if anyone wants to come...haha!!! Well not much else to report except I am off to work installing ac units tomorrow at 7. That is in exactly 7 hours so I am off to bed. Boring session, sorry but I think I am still Zapped from the 115 pitches yesterday. I can say I had alot more fun pitching in a game that was in tact. There is no fun pitching when you are gettin destroyed, no matter the circumstances. You can only smile and say "Keep your head up!" for so long before you sound like a jackass. 2 more wins and we are an even .500. Yeah Baby!!
